Academy Award winning Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o was yesterday, Thursday April 3rd, announced as the new face of French skincare and cosmetics company; Lancôme.
She joined Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz, as ambassadors. She is also the beauty company’s first black ambassador.
In a statement, she said;“I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”
FYI, Lupita is also the face of Miu Miu. Her Lancôme ad campaigns will begin airing in September.
