Hi guys!
It’s been a while I know! I’m ever too guilty! Life just gets in the way! *sigh*
I have been thinking of what to write for a while now till this weekend came by.
Over the weekend, I met a new friend and little did I know I was going to indirectly learn something from that meet.
My new friend got a phone call, she was told her friend, Awele, was in a coma. She still spoke to Awele during the week, so it came as a shock to her. Awele suffered from sickle cell anaemia.
Unfortunately, however, the worst happened. She died yesterday.
I couldn’t believe it. I have never experienced death so close to me before. I was still telling a friend last week that none of my friends have died, I really don’t know what I would feel like if one of them did. I’m ever so grateful to God for this.
As you can imagine, my new friend is in a state right now. Who wouldn’t be?
This life really is short!
I’m not even sure what my message on this post to you guys is. But honestly, live a life you would be proud of. My friend shot a documentary of Awele’s struggle, through the years, two years ago and I must say she seemed like a fun person.
I was moved to tears, when she was talking about travelling and seeing the world, after school.
