On a sad note, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have announced their exodus from American Idol.

Steven Tyler announced his exit from American Idol on Thursday saying that; "he will not be returning as a judge on American Idol." Tyler, according to TMZ, wrote in his statement: "After some long… hard… thoughts… I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit." The 64-year-old said he's going back to his first love Aerosmith "with two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band".

Jennifer Lopez also announced her exit through her representative, Mark Young, yesterday. Jennifer Lopez called in to Ryan Seacrest 's radio show yesterday morning, to also announce that she's leaving American Idol as a judge. In her own words; "I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do."

This leaves just Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest but rumours going round say that Randy might be leaving soon. Na wa oh! If Randy leaves, all eyes will be on Ryan Seacrest to know what his next move will be. The reason for the mass exit of judges is still unknown but it is obvious that there is something wrong as the show's rating has dropped by about a third since last year.
