Dr. Pat Kolawole Awosan, Canada: President Goodluck Jonathan just returned from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica where he gave an address imploring the citizens of those Island nations to shed off slavery-mentality, as if Nigeria is better and above those two nations. Interestingly, the citizens of those nations did far much more better for their countries and proudly showcased their nations in their participation during the just concluded London 2012 Olympic Games.

To me, the Peoples Democratic Party is the herculean task and constraint that Nigerians must ensure is voted out of Nigerian presidency by 2015 if Nigeria must return to winning ways. Ever since the party took over the rein of power in the Presidency in 1999, it has been one jeopardy after another for the country, as state failure is now confirmed as the current state and position of governance in Nigeria. Nothing works in Nigeria anymore. Corruption grows and it affects all arms of government, ministries and agencies.

Nigeria achieved nothing from the just concluded London Olympic Games due to a corruption-ridden failed system of governance of politicians chosen athletes to participate in major international tournaments from their cousins. Athletes that were sent to London to represent Nigeria were selected by the Presidency and the ministers instead of experienced sports experts through rigorous training. It is all through nepotism and corruption- ridden style of governance. Nigeria is doomed in all aspects of human endeavours.

Nothing works anymore in Nigeria since the advent of the PDP in the nation's highest office- in 1999.Official corruption has destroyed Nigeria through and Nigerians must vote out PDP in 2015 in order for our nation and its citizenry to chart a new course of direction toward people and national development for Nigeria.
