A few months ago, I lost someone that was very important to me.

I had never lost someone close to me before, so if you had told me how it felt, I would never have believed.

Saying it stung is an understatement. Not only did it hurt, but the pain was indescribable. Just typing this hurts.

But coming back from it, moving on, is even worse.

The lesson I however learnt from the loss is that “you are the key”.

You might be wondering what I mean. Losing someone is hard, and moving on is even harder. But you are the only one that can help you move on. Yourself and the Holy Spirit, of course. You can’t depend on anything or anyone to help deal with a loss. You alone understand yourself, and you alone can determine your happiness.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, take the words of the experts at Help Guide:

I’m not saying I have since gotten over the loss, but I have found ways to deal with it and embrace the fact that Moteniola Tiwalope Ajao is actually gone.

Like my friend, Jay, will say; “Just pray for his soul, that he is in a better place”. And of course, take care of yourself.

Love Always,

-Pookie!
